Its great to see that quite a number of schools in Brighton & Hove have signed up to the pioneering 10:10 initiative – Solar Schools – to get solar energy powering their schools. Even better news is that one school in Brighton has already reached its target! St Barts in Anne Street, BN1 will be getting panels installed over Easter and the energy they save will not only reduce their emissions but also their energy bills, boosting the school’s budget. Other Brighton & Hove and indeed many schools across the country are fast on their way to raising funds for a solar pv installation: we can all do our bit to help them by donating, encouraging our own local schools to apply, or simply by sharing information to raise the profile of this brilliant initiative.
